This thing ran great last spring!! NOW!!! The motor will occasionally miss. I get alot of stray voltage sparking from the springs holding the exhaust can... Has anyone had this???
I can't seem to find a short:(:(
The head light, tail and brake light work. Can anyone give me a direction to go!!!!!!!!

Thanks

Check your ground... if the engine isn't grounded to chassis well, the path of least resistance could be through where the can and bulkhead meet. Or a support between there.

Make sure the spark plug wires are seated well, as well as the stator to magneto connections.

I agree with Mule. Check any and all points where ground wires are bolted to the chassis. Make sure they're clean and snug. A good rule of thumb with electrical problems is: The stranger the problem, the more likely it's a ground issue.
