I just bought an 06 700 RMK and 06 900 RMK. Both are 151's. The front shocks on the 700 are Ryde-FX with threads on the shock body to adjust the spring tension. The 900 has Ryde-FX shocks as well but the spring rate is not adjustable. There is only a compression adjustment screw up top which will probably be impossible to adjust with the shock installed on the sled. My question is, is this the stock setup for both sleds? I think i like the performance of the adjustable spring shock on the 700 as opposed to the 900 shocks and I'm tempted to switch them. Would this be a good idea? Thanks!

The non-adjustable shocks were stock for the 06 900 at least... very stupid design. The 06 700 is the exact same sled as the 900 except for the smaller top end and the ecu map, otherwise they were identical machines.

Adjustable shocks are a big plus so you can help the sled fit your style better, especially if you remove the sway bar, in that case the stock shocks are WAY too soft.

non-adjustable shocks were installed on 05 and 06 700 and 900's. Adjustable shocks came on the snowcheck machines. I have a set of adjustables laying on the floor in my storage off and 05 900 166.

If you have the non adjustable shocks and you remove the sway bar the machine is extremely tippy on the trail. You need to be able to turn the shocks up a bit to compensate for not having a sway bar.
