2023 Little Truckee Summit Snow Conditions

Happy new year everybody. We’re starting out The year with a great base of 5 feet or more here at the house. It rained most of the day yesterday and got a little snow often on. We got 5 inches of wet Sierra cement. It’s in the 20s today so it all froze up.

After over 24 hours of heavy rain it started snowing this morning at 6 o’clock. It’s coming down big time right now. Forecast says we’re gonna get snow for week or more let’s hope.

Not that much. We got it all back yesterday with 3 feet of fresh powder. up top it’s gonna be way deep. It’s fluffy powder to not see her cement.

Snow was awesome yesterday and today. All the snow that got wet froze up underneath about 3 feet of powder on top. More on the way Yahoo. My view today breaking powder for my two buddies.

Rode Gold Lakes on Friday. Almost two feet of fresh on top of a wet crust. Plenty on heavy snow below that.

Yup, because of elevation, some years Gold is off the table. Not this year though! Biggest problem I see this month is NOT if we are getting snow but clear enough days to go ride.

Yeah we’re getting hammered every day lately. I am a sunny days Snowmobiler and we haven’t had many sunny days. The last couple days have been heavy wet snow especially yesterday. All that froze up last night and we have beautiful powder on top today. There’s a ton of snow up here right now. Trying to get the groomer to get his ass in gear. He’s been slacking lately. It’s a winter wonderland up here.

Another 2 feet overnight. That makes over 3 feet in the last 24 hours. I just went out for a little rip on my sled and it’s awesome out there guys . The neighbor went out with a snow cat last night so there’s a little bass on the road . I’m heading in town today but I’m taking my Raptor. Got to get more supplies. This is turning out to be an amazing year.

Hi Steve, you riding tomorrow? I was going to head up tomorrow and wanted to know if you want to go out for a ride. The few guys I ride with can’t ride tomorrow.

Unfortunately it started raining on all this beautiful powder and turned it all into mashed potatoes. At least they’re predicting 3 to 6 feet of snow this weekend. Let’s hope it’s cold and the rain stays away.

Well it started snowing yesterday and all last night. We’re approaching close to 3 feet of new snow. This time it’s When blowing powder. I’m getting too old for this ****. Should be nice to see some sun sunshine. They groomed The main road last night. I’ll be another foot of snow on it right now. I heard the parking lot is a **** show. Caltrans needs to get caught up on the main road so they can do the parking lot.

Hang in there don't get cabin fever. I only remember 2 or 3 yrs out of the last 35 years getting this much. I'm feeling it from shoveling.
