2017 Axys 155 LE - Salvage - Whats it worth?

Hey Guys, looking for some input here.

I have a 2017 155 LE (lime squeeze) that I wrecked and I'm now buying back from insurance. Just curious if any of you have any idea what it might be worth considering the parts estimate (below) if I sell all together vs parting it out. Never been through this process before so just curious if others who have are willing to share some input.

Thanks!

Can you upload some pics? I've been looking for a salvage sled to buy if you are purchasing back from insurance to re sale.

So the tunnel is bent, front and rear frame assemble, track is damaged (they quoted you a 144 x 1.75 track by the way), drive shaft damaged, cracked the engine case, steering bent, nose cone hit, windshield damaged..... But no body or suspension damage.

Sounds like you drilled a rock?

If you dont plan on fixing your self, why buy it back? Unless they are giving you one hell of a deal on buy back, I dont see how you could make any money on it trying to re-sell it based on the parts list. Eric

I'm not sure why they quoted a track in there but the track is fine from what I can see. It hit a tree straight on and it stopped it dead in its tracks so I don't think the track had any damage.

I'll try and figure out how to post pics, don't really have anywhere to post them for a web link but I'm sure I can figure something out.

hanging out in a tree well at the top.
You can save pics in a folder on comp. Go to your snowest profile. Click on albums and download the pics. Click, click, clickity, click. Open 2 tabs on computer. In one click on the lil yellow mountain symbol... HTTP will show. Delete that. Go to yur album and right click on pic you want to post, scroll down and copy the HTTP file. Now go back and click on mountain stable in other tab. Delete the HTTP highlight and paste yours. Click OK and post will appear. Easier than this sounds.

I would not buy that back. Not worth it considering like others said you can buy a new one for only 2-3 grand more than your parts list.

Sometimes it's easier to scrap things rather than putting in the work to fix something but it seems like a waste to not buy it back and redistribute the parts to other sleds at the very least. In the 50's and 60's people always use to go to junk yards to find parts to fix their cars. Some people like to save a little bit of money and do the work themselves. The motor alone was probably worth what they wanted to buy the sled back. Just checked Polaris Parts house and a new long block cost $3977 not including shipping. Sell the motor for $1500-$2000 and you make most of your money back and someone gets a good deal on a motor they may need. Best thing to do is see what used parts are going for on ebay.

Pair of skis-$140
Track-$500
A-Arms-$300 for the set
Seat with Support-$150
Walker Evans Piggyback Shocks-$800 for all 4 shocks

Plastics if they are reusable have to be worth something as well. That or have someone just buy the whole thing. Someone might not have the money to buy a new axys but if they have the ingenuity and the time to put one back together they could save a little bit of money.
