I stopped by a local dealer today and was told that the 700's weren't available (known to be available) by the order deadline this spring so he didn't order any. Does anyone have any information on whether this model will be forced on the dealers or sit dormant in Minnesota?

I don't think they'll be "forced on any dealer"

Polaris is selling them due to reliability and buyer interest.

My 08 D-7 has run flawlessly, can't say the same for the 800's:confused:...yet.

Hope they figure out the 800's as I'll need a new sled soon and would hate to jump ship:eek:

My 08 700 is very strong. Did have a piston failure that took out the entire motor though last year. The way I look at it is I can start all over again with a new motor courtesy of warranty. With the 700's history, I'm not worried about it either.

I figured Polaris might be in a bind to unload these sleds, if in fact the dealers and riders requested that they make the 700, then the dealers don't order them because they don't know they are available.

I have had two 700's and would buy another pretty soon due to their history. I'm not interested in a Russion Roulette sled (historic 800).

Anyone seeing a lot of 700/155's at the dealers? Still curious to know if Polaris pumped a bunch of these out this year that might not have sold. If the rumor is true about an DI 600 and 800 next year, I would think this is the last year for the 700.

Thoughts?
