My 2009 M1000 just did the same thing this weekend with 300 miles on it. The light never came on and by the time it stopped it was seized solid. I couldnt even free it up by turning the clutch. I was only 5 minutes into my ride in deep powder. I dropped it at the dealer and I am awaiting the list of carnage. I had to ride my trusty 2002 Polaris VE which really sucks after spending $11K.

I have an 07 m1000 this weekend I pulled a dragon that burned up its rings and noticed that mine was boiling out of the overflow so i unhooked the dragon and rode my way out the light kept coming on so the next day I topped it off with antifreeze and rode i noticed on the hard packed the light would come on but in the deeper snow it never came on wonder if some scratchers will fix my problem
