09 M1000 162 info on mods:y-pipe&can needs fuel!

If you think you can run a y-pipe and can without adding fuel, good luck

Put Koso dual fast probe egt on stock sled, highest temp was at 6100rpm- 1254 temp, WOT 1150+ and holds it under 1160 around 7450rpm peaks as high as 7900rpm on capture. 5-7,000 elevation. Slp can not much change. Added slp y-pipe with fuel pressure at 47.5psi ( stock 44psi) egt climbing past 1250. 49psi egt still over 1250. 51 hit 1299 egt. 53psi 1274. 56psi under 1250. Acted like it might load up at idle if you let it sit, but I don't. Loads up a little on low end when engine is cold, not enough to worry about. The more fuel I added the more responsive the throttle was and pulled harder. still around 7500 rpm. Pulled plugs when I hit 1299 on the egt with 51psi, the tops where light brown(almost whitish brown) from the threads up, this was on a 15 sec WOT pull, to lean if you ask me, piston wash was 3/8". around 5,500 elevation at time of plug check. Never bogged all day. 046 belt, stock clutching, d&d shift assist, haven't checked alignment. Ran a 060 for 400miles and just started pulling threads, only had can on while running the 060. The 060 feels smoother. I don't baby it either I ride like a smart idiot.
