I have an 02 mtn cat 1000 that I wrecked the stock drivers/sprockets on. I did some quick looking (not here) and realized I could replace the 4 sprockets with 2 extro/combo (9tooth) drivers for a little more money and have an improved setup. When i was putting everything back together its obvious the slide rails in the OE setup actually slide between the 4 sprockets and now they align and hit the extros under full compression.
After searching here, it looks like i can do one of two things or BOTH:
-move the suspension to the back hole on the tunnel and put in a drop bracket for the rear(seldjunky's?)
-cut 2 1/2" of each rail and put an anitstab wheel kit in
-or do i have to do both?
Thanks for your experience, wish I would of found this site a year ago.
