02-03 800 RMK motor fit into 98-700 RMK

Can 02/03 RMK 800 engine fit into a 98-700 RMK, & will a pipe become an issue. Any thoughts, ideas, recommendations.

pretty sure its the same bottom end so it should fit, buddy has a 800 non ves in a xlt and it fit no problem but it was putting a twin into a tripples spot so it should. I'm sure there are some guys on here that have done this before that can help you out with specifics.

you will need to change the intake boots and the exhaust will not fit from an edge chassis

SLP has a pipe option for you if you do it. They can set you up with the right combo, we've done a couple of them.
