01' MCAT 600 EFI.. Impossible to pull/drag backwards?!?!

First off let me say the sled runs great! I know it has no reverse, but for some reason lately it seems really really difficult to physically pull the sled backwards, the track just refuses to spin backwards. It took myself and one other person STRUGGLING to pull it out of my garage today, we aren't in that terrible of shape.. Any thoughts as to why it would jam up when being pull backwards and not free spin?

Did you put new hyfax on and forget to tapper the ends?

Belt deflection too tight??? If so, you are trying to pull the motor over (backwards) when pulling the sled.

Hmm I haven't checked the belt I did just replace it though. Also my hyfaxes are VERY warn, I have replacements but haven't put them on yet, where do you taper them?

Always grind the back end it a taper. Many years ago I wrecked a track by putting on new hyfax and left them cut square and right to the end of the rail. It took about 50 yards to rip the track wide open. It was the first sled I owned that had hyfax on it...also my first track swap! Cut the hyfax a half in shorter than the rails and grind a 45* on the end.
