So I was bored and had a few turbos laying around. I started with the G-kit turbo and removed the compressor backing plate and swapped on the Garrett so the compressor housing would fit. Then I replaced the G-Kit compressor wheel with a factory balanced Garrett one I had laying around. Now all thats left to do is try it out..

Here is a Garrett 2860 center section and the original Gkit compressor wheel and housing..

Figure anything out for that tiny hot side?

No the Turbine backing plate is way to small to fit the Garrett housing.. I think im going to port the crap out of the housing in the Morning put it on and see how it compare's to a Real Garrett..:bounce:

Now Im gonna build a new exhaust quick since the housings have a different flange.. Testing later today....:present:

All I can say so far is WOW.. This thing rips. Granted their is not much snow but I can pull the same clutching and rpm at 9lbs. as compared to a Garrett 2860rs at 11lbs. Fueling is about the same. I think ill take it to Cooke this week or next and see if it works as well up their as down here.

I just put this exhaust together out of the stock Push exhaust only took about 10min. Its real quiet with the muffler but its only 2.5" as I was running 3".

Not real sure why I even tried this as I already ordered another Garrett but I think ill see how long it lasts because for less than $300 it's working great so far. 20 or so miles on it... Straight VP110 85gr DP turbo weights.
I took a video with my Liquid Image goggles but the damn battery fell out when I took them off and it wont let me upload the video to my computer..
