Running board question (600rr)

I just picked up my 600 rr last night and I'm wondering if anyone makes a better boards, FU boards setup etc. for this sled. I have looked around but have not seen anything available for the RR. Its horrible. had 3' of fresh powder last night (flatlander) and the snow build up was awful.

i am cutting some out on the plasma table monday. they replace the stock brace and follow the same lines with open rectangles on the bottom (better boardish). i'll post pics when i get them done then pm if ur interested.

Please post up asap. I have access to a cnc plasma at work but I dont think I have any good way of adding any teeth for traction. I will definitely not be able to do it on the sheet metal brake we have its way to big. Thoguth about trying to make a small fixture and to it in a vice, but didnt think it was worth it until I actually rode the thing. haha

got them cut out; getting bent and hopefully powder coated tomorrow. i'll post pics of them installed by friday (hopefully)

Looks good. 1 question why didnt you put the holes in for the rivits with the plasma or at least drill them before you had them coated? Very nice looking piece. PM me a price if your gonna make a few sets. I'm sure it will be cheper than me going out and buying a new brake so I can make 1 set for myself. haha. If your going to do a bunch more maybe we can work something out as we also do powdercoating in house.

boards

I have those on already unless they have other ones. I was looking for the ones like this guy made or ones with the rectangle holes that let snow through the boards

If you make a few sets let me know as well. I would take a set

I hadn't planned on selling these but since everybody seems to like them so much :) ...

For a price I was thinking $150.

They will be pre-drilled.

Here is a pic installed.

how do you think they will hold up to the loads of jumping?? I can see myself bending or breaking them without all the support that was cut away.

i made the tabs on the side of the tunnel about .5" taller than stock for extra support. the holes cut out are in line with the lower sections on the side of the tunnel. also the bent up traction "bar" ads a lot of rigidity.

Like jet fuel said they feel every bit as stiff jumping up and down on them in the shop.

I am pretty sure the pro x running boards are very very close the the same size as the IQR. I would take a set, is it $150 powdercoated black?

If they will fit Pro-X boards I would be interested in a set too.

How much of a PITA is it to drill out those flat rivets on the stock fishbones?
