09 m8 snow flap removal

I cut the snow flap on my 09 m8 153 but it still gets in the way, unloading off a sled deck the flap gets caught and when the sled trenches the flap gets in the way of grabbing the bumper. My question is since the 09 tunnels are shorter would I have trouble with cooling? Also how do they come off? Thanks!

snow flap

How much did you cut off? I cut my 09 off to the lowest molded zig zag in the snow flap. I just used a box knife, was easy to cut off. I didnt effect any cooling, Sure plasters any one riding close behind though. Throws one heck of a rooster tail. But it doesnt get caught up like it did when it was longer. hope this helps. RickM

I cut mine in the same spot as you, but I still find it gets in the way, I wanted to remove it completly

Got bored and just cut the whole thing off. I ride mostly powder anyway and on hard pack I have ice scratchers so It should be fine as fay as cooling goes. Shouls help get snow out of the tunnel in deep powder aswell.
