ZX Bar Riser ???

Cant find info with the search. Going to install a six inch pivot riser on my 02. I have a longer brake line and throttle cable but dont know about wireing. Can I get away with this without haveing to cut and splice wires? Thanks Dino

Putting an 8 inch on a ZX, we will have to cut the wires. You will probably have to do the same. Need to cycle the steering from post to post to make sure that it doesn't bind. If it does, you will have to lengthen it. if it's tight but still steerable at any point I would still lengthen it, just because you will kick yourself if it breaks on the trail.

I installed a 9' riser.You have to pull the plug connections clip out of the hole and cut a few plastic ties on the harness down by the motor to get the extra length.Once you have your length retie your harness.There was no stress on the wires and lots to work with.

i did a 5 inch with stock bars and it worked fine

I did a 6" w/stock bars on my 02 and only had to reroute the throttle cable, besides that its all stock. Any one need a throttle extension for an 02? I didn't need it.
