ZR200 / Snoscoot Thumb Warmer - problem

Installed the following parts on our 2024 Snoscoot to add a thumbawarmer to the mix. As you may know the 200's have hand warmers, but not a thumb warmer.

1436-834 extension harness
0609-372 thumb warmer element
1639-623 ACC adapter
0617-248 pad

Install was pretty simple and absolutely no cutting or splicing required. Thumb warmer now works when hand warmer switch is turned on….cool, well actually nice and warm. I did notice however that the headlight and taillight do not work when the hand warmer switch is on, and if they do it’s only at idle and as soon as you rev it up the lights turn off.

Any ideas?

Found the issue. The wires at the element were shorted together when the throttle was in a certain position meaning the wire tension to the element itself. Everything is back to normal now after a little adjustment.
