ZR 800 Turbo clutching and some other stuff?

I'm going to turbo my sled this summer. My goal is to run pump gas fuel and power between 200-220 hp.

I'd like to know what kind of clutching are you guys using with this old iron? Especially the helix (reverse, straight etc)? How about gearing in the trees?

The engine is ported and timing advanced 3 degrees, but otherwise it's stock. So the heads are still stock... would it be wise to get some better head? I measured the squish and it's huge! Pipe is also stock, is there any gains in turbo applications by swapping into aftermarket one?

I'm using standard PCV fuel box.

go with a dual injector setup from the start

You are limited to about 210 HP on the stock injectors, and run out of fueling capability. the PC5 is a easy choice if you can get mapping for your setup.

Thanks. I think that power is good enough at first but at some point there may be need for more...

I've understood you can't add injectors with PCV - or can you?

Ported cyls...

How much was the exhaust port raised, this can kill turbo performance with blow through. On some engines we actually deck the base of the cyl. to close the exh. port sooner and help trap more of the charge in the cyl.

Actually I made the porting By myself so it's quite lean. Main exhaust port is stock, just opened the side ports and fit the whole system to Y-pipe properly. So the porting is actually more cleaning and fitting than gaining power.
