Just wondering if anyone is using the Zeal optics goggles, any model or more specific the ones with the SPPX lenses? they look great and like the idea of not having to change lenses being they are polorized and photochromatic. Any input would be great.

I have the Eclipse sppx and they are awesome, however I do think the Scott voltage pro air have less propensity to fog and when the light is flat the Scott's also show more definition in the snow. The eclipse goggles are really nice though definitely recommend them.

As far as the fogging issue, as long as you keep moving you're golden, I can dig out wearing the Scott's though. For a blue bird day or any day that is bright I wouldn't want any other goggle.... Well maybe the new elk-sport sg1

Never heard of elk-sport, scott yes but have never tried them. do you have any problem with them fitting in your helmet?? And wondering if you could put a haber vision fan on them, I have one on my 509s and it is awesome.

Never tried the elk-sports or a haberdasher vision fan...never had a ned for a fan. There was a breakin period with the zeals, the little rubber straps that connect the strap to the frame need to be worked a bit because they are kinda stiff new, I see you are in Wisconsin. If you get up to the upper peninsula anytime soon I would gladly let you borrow them for a day or two as long as I get them back

Well thanks, but I am leaving the 9th for CO and want to pick up a pair before i leave.

I got a pair of the photo/polarized not sure which model but I love them. Never tried the scotts but the Zeals have been the best goggles I've ever owned. I used to carry two pairs but now I just use my Zeals. Have a few buddies that tried the 509 and with out using a 509 helmet they've had hell with them. The frames are kinda small and I use a Klim helmet I had to put a strip of adhesive weather strip on top off them so I'd stop getting ice cream headaches but other then that they've been great.
