Zbroz or Holz front end?

Need new front end for my 2009 Assault. Please pictures of 40" wide a-arm kitts from Zbroz and Holz on the newer dragon chassie. And upper n downers on both kitt´s.

Thanks!

I have a 43" wide Z Broz front end on my sled. With your Assault shocks this kit works without the need for new shocks. Both the 40" front ends need shorter RMK Length shocks.
The Zbroz are bullet proof, Ive hit aleast 6 trees hard with mine and there still straight. I bent 12 Polaris a arms in 1 season before going to the Z Broz.
My buddy has the Holz and he likes them, but i have no direct experience with those.

i could be wrong but i was under the impression that the new t-sled burandt addition front end is a 37" stance.

as for the above question, might consider timbersled bark buster front end for your sled as well. they are one of the best companies in the business to deal with with great customer service and an even better product
here's a pic of my front suspension

there are alot of GREAT companies out there...

--ZBROZ
--HOLZ
--Timbersled
--CoBe
--Fabcraft

they are all made of chromoly, and have there advantages over the next and vis-versa..

depends on the width you wanna go with...and if you plan on using a sway bar setup or not...

i choice ZBROZ 40" on my 05 rmk 900, i converted to 09 front end and use the zbroz sway bar adapter clamp to use the sway bar...i have collided with an M1000 and barely even dented the upper a-arm...blasted MANY stumps, trees ect...and i am still going strong with NO issues...i LOVE THEM..

i also got HOLZ 41" arms on my wifes 06 rmk 700, they are great as well, but are considerably "thinner" then the zbroz...they are very strong as well, and have had nothing but great things to say about them..but when compared side by side...ZBROZ is aloty thicker and stouter IMO...and very close in weight...

i know timbersleds setup is suppose to be the tightest turning on the market (from what i heard at least) and look great...but you cannot use any other spindle but timbersleds as the other brands you can retain stock spindles if needed..

CoBe is coming out with a pretty sick setup as well, i dont know many details on them as of now, but they are setup with heim joints that are designed to break off before the arm break i believe...price unknown

basically...you cant go wrong with any of the choices out there...its more of a personal choice and who you "like" most...all excellent products and all have great customer support!!

Thanks, i know i need the shorter Rmk shocks or a sett of Fox Float. No problemas. Butt it´s pointing at the Zbros...

Would be sweet if someone had any pics of Zbros front end kitt mounted on the Iq Dragon chassie. 40", 43", 45" a-arm kitt.. I want to see the ground clerance...

Thanks!

I have had holtz and timbersleds and liked them both. I might try z broz this year. I don't think you lose any weight, they are just better than stock. The only thing I didn't like on the timbersleds was I seemed to eat a heim joint every year. No big deal. Just something you had to screw with. They are supposed to turn sharper but your skis won't bite in and turn that sharp anyway. I think they are all good and you cant go wrong with any of them.

I really like the Timbersled setup but to me the cost is a little high. For that reason I am leaning towards Zbroz or Holz. ZBroz is 1" narrower so they are kinda getting the nod. I am not sure how important getting spindles are on the 2009+ IQ sleds. Even if you choose to do so they can be purchased later with Holz and ZBroz.
Even when you figure the cost of spinds and A-arms Holz and ZBroz come out ahead.

guidoexpress, you said the Holz was "thinner" but then you also said there was no difference in weight (or little). This leads me to believe that while the overall diamter of the Holz is smaller the walls of the chromoly is actually thicker making it just as strong.(??)

new arms

if you get new arms and need all the joints and bushings I have all the stock ones for sale then you can sale your old ones complete

yeh im not 100% sure how much each set of a-arms weigh...your better off calling each company and asking them directly..

straight from ZBROZ website..
built from 4130 Chromoly tubing for extreme strength while shedding some pounds. They also offer the industries only high ground clearance A-Arm

straight from HOLZ website...
Remove 3 pounds of unsprung weight with our lightweight chromoly a-arms. shipping weight is 12lbs

so not exactly comparable info, but like i said..zbroz arms are STRONG...they also have a thicker powder coat on them..thats textured asd where Holz are smooth finish..

i dont have any pics of the front end clearence, just the ones in my link (05 900 build) but its not the best shot/angle...i run 17" fox floats with the 40" arms..

This is the only pic i have of my 43" z broz arms on my IQ Raw. These were taken during part out.

Thanks guys!
I will go whit Zbroz..
Butt can anyone take a pic from the front so i can see the ground clerance?

IQ Dragon chassie and Zbroz a-arm kitt...

IQ Raw is a IQ Dragon chassis.
Anyway, i just got off the horn with a buddy who has both front ends. Both are 40-41" wide and both had the lower spherical ball joints in the lower a arms when measured.

Holz
Upper 1 pound 1 ounce
Lower 3 pounds 1 ounce

Z Broz
Upper 1 pound 6 ounce
Lower 3 pounds 0 ounces

Remeber the lowers had the bearing installed in both. Uppers did not. The other thing worth noting is that with the Holz uppers, the hiem joint hole is threaded so when trying to adjust them you have to make full rev in or out which equates to a 2-3 degree move as apposed to the z broz being a clearance thru hols and the nuts are used to adjust.

here you go.....
Polaris-RMK-IQ-RAW-155-163-Peformance-Partner-Sled-front.jpg

Ride height is adjustable and makes significant differences in the overall performance of the sled in various conditions.

I think I've ridden over 200 various IQ RAW Polaris sleds with just about every combination of shock and suspension. Still waiting for one that would make me want to say this package isn't the ultimate. Closest to date was the demo Polaris Pro. Then I got to take them both and trade back and forth..no contest this Holz package is still far and away the best.

I would but I have the sled all put away for a while... It is the 43" stance, does sit lower that a stocker but I don't see any down side to it. I am a firm beleiver in the sag on a coil spring shock, the ride quality is much better.

a little off the subject but i have the zbroz a arms and getting new shocks for them this year
question is should i go with exit shocks or floats?
is the ride that much better with exits?
is the adjustability worth it?
is the weight a lot different?
Its looking like the exits are $800 and floats $700
I will not be running a sway bar ive broke three sets
