Installing a 2016 ST onto my new YZ450FX and the track rubs on the kickstand mount. I am guessing this was a miss by TS since the YZ450F mount does not stick back so far due to not having a kick stand, so this would be unique to the YZ450FX.
I am not going to cut the track since it is already notched out slightly in order to fit the chain roller mount on the regular YZ450F, so to notch it out for the YZ450FX would be taking out a huge chunk of the left side of the track (over one inch).
What have other YZ450FX users done to solve this problem?
Following are options that I am looking at:
1. Cut the whole mount in half just behind where the foot-pegs mount. This would allow the back part to be installed for the chain roller and kickstand in the spring. Only problem is since the kickstand would only have one connection point, it may not be sturdy as the bolt for the chain roller can rotate. I could possibly tap another screw into the part of the frame that sticks out to prevent this.
2. See if a mount off a YZ450F will fit and buy one just for winter use. (If this does work, timbersled should be including this in the fit kit in the future).
