When I ride I always want to listen to some music. It wouldnt be very hard to do. But what would be a downfall to using a headset type helmet.?

One advantage I saw though was the use of bluetoothor 2 way radios being integrated into them...

And thr final question. What type of music do you listen too? I'm a big fan of Dubstep and hardstyle now....

I just use ear plug style ear buds (whatever they call those)...and plug into my ipod.

They block out a fair amount of outside noise (yet still let me hear my engine sounds enough)...so I don't have to turn the volume up really high.

The younger generation calls the Skull Candy.

And this is FACT!!! An Ipod will alter/interfere with a transmitting avalanche beacon. Try it, we did and found the Ipod first. Don't ask me why. But the searching beacon found it.

Is your life really worth a Justin Bieber song?

Interesting.

I tend to only have mine on when I'm going for a long stretch. When we get to avy terrain, my ear buds are not in much because we are often starting and stopping and the helmets come on and off a lot.

Times two, I recall Mike Duffy stating that lots of electronic devices can interfere.

Having tunes ain't worth a dead body or buddy because you forgot to chuck your ipod when the chit went south.

Nag reason why not to: you will blow your ears out. Snowmobiles are loud. To appreciably hear your music, it must be significantly louder. You know that ringing sound you hear in your ears at the end of a day of riding when it finally quiets down in the hotel (tinnitus)? That is your ears telling you that you are going deaf. Seriously. Don't make it worse by blasting it out with some sweet tunes....

Not to mention the signal interference thing...that is creepy...why can't we just enjoy a sweet ride for what it is anymore??:face-icon-small-sad

I don't ride with one. I listen to tunes on the way up and down and while getting dressed in the lot.
