Ok ..You know when you're out and the sh*t gets bad, the sky grey ..the land all white!! Everybody struggles to see anything of the terrain!!
I actually saw one guy ride over the edge trying to get back to the truck...not pretty!!:face-icon-small-sho

What color Who makes it Why do you love that pair? Thanks.

When its UGLY in Island Park and the light goes FLAT and you can't make out any definition, I whip out the PINK/ROSE tinted Goggles.

I have a good dozen pair of goggles, but nothing beats the pink tinted lens for horrible light.

I prefer the non mirror yellow lens on the really flat lighted days.

I think that it has been proven by one study or another that every bodies eye's react slightly different to different colors/tints.

So your really should test a few colors (maybe try a friends on a bad day) and see what fits your eyes best.

In flat and poor conditions I use my 509 Sinisters with the plain yellow lense. It works best for me.

Whatever pair isn't fogged to the bejeezusbells. I have owned about every pair imaginable, and still haven't found the "perfect" set. I just pack about 3 sets with me and swap as needed.

on stormy flat light days I use yellow and clear or almost clear lenses(smith). I normally have about 3 sets of goggles in my pack on any day, all with different lenses.

509's with non-chrome orange lenses. I love the way orange brightens everything up.

The chrome/mirror finish dulls up the view in all the colors in my opinion, but it does look cool from the outside.

wore out scratched up 30 dollar pair of smiths in yellow tint with no mirror.

I have a couple pairs of 509's but dislike the fit with my helmet. New Klim goggles should be the ticket this year.

Take them off and do without, no fogging, no worries unless it is really deep or cold out. Then I just get by and wing it, or wait for dark when you can get some definition from the headlight. Looking forward to trying some of the new stuff and other's top suggestions also this coming winter.

Polarized Habervisions with the eliminator fan, and a yellow persimmons lens

are about the best a guy can get

Love love love my habervisions. Persimmon polarized and has the gunflash finish. Best goggle I have used they work in the sun or flat light I used to have to carry a few pairs now it's just these and an emergency backup pair.

509 aviators with yellow polarized lenses when it is nasty, smoke polarized lenses when it is sunny.

A polarized lens will not help you in flat light. It doesn't hurt but polarization doesn't do anything in flat light. Polarization removes light glare. In Flat light, glare is a non issue.

A yellow, amber, Persimmons, orange, vermillion (rose) work great. You want a light enhancing color. Non flash (mirror coating) is ideal.

Everyone's eyes to function different, try a few out and see what works for you, but what I listed above is a good start. You do want to avoid any Gray lenses on snow. You lose definition with gray.

PM me for Habervision Specials. We have a few proven goggles and lens combinations and we have a few new goggles coming out this year. 100% money back guarantee. If they don't work for you, we'll refund your money. You have nothing to lose.

I prefer straight yellow 509's

I tried the habervision, they have been used twice and sit in the trailer. They pinch off my nose which is uncomfortable. Makes it hard to breath through the nose.

Maybe its just me but I have tried all sorts of dohickey fans, 509, haber. They never seem to last or work all that well.

I wouldent mind having a cheap clear set for nightwork, although the yellows do pretty well

TIP #1: no matter what brand goggles or helmet you buy you will GREATLY improve the performance of them if you spend some time modifing them to fit your face, and seal up all the gaps.

TIP #2 : your breath has to be able to get OUT. I perfer to wear nothing under my helmet and can keep my helmet on even while digging out stuck sleds and not fog. Refer to tip 1 to keep from getting cold while riding :)

Oh yeah, I perfer non-mirror blue. Eric

509 Aviators with the Orange work for me....love that set up in the nastiest of conditions. :)
