If the job takes them 30 min but the book on it is 2 hours, they'll do it... quick easy money for a mechanic...

I've seen people get charged an hour for a 15 min job... because the book said so... and I've seen mechanics charge for an hour job when it was actually a 7 hour job.

And if you are a woman - you bet your bottom dollar they will charge you cuz "the book says so" Been there!!! ARGH!!!!!!!! Now for most things, the husband does it. cheers!!
