KTUU just reported an avy at mile 67 this afternoon. It appears it was caused by 2 skiers, both were buried. One got out on his own and the other was found ( not sure by who yet ) He was not breathing when found but they performed cpr and was able to get him breathing again. Not sure of either one of their conditions and sounds like they were the only ones. KTUU will have a complete report soon. Good to hear they are both alive. Lucky, thats for sure.

Where is mile 67? On the Arm or Closer to Seward? I cant remember if mile 1 is at Seward or Anchorage.
mile 67 would be about 3 miles past turny towards seward
Mile 1 is in Seward. A guy was medi-vaced out of Lost Lake today as well. 1 sled going up hill and another breaking the edge headed down. They had a head on with the loser getting a badly broken leg. I am sure the helo ride was better then riding a bumpy trail down on the resuce sled. Keep it safe!!!
