Personally, I look at it like this.

In 2012, America will still exist, we will be still fighting the administration, and we'll vote them out. We'll all be saying, boy, that was stupid, but we made it through it and now we know better. We'll have a conservative president, whether he's a Republican of Democrat, he (or she I suppose) will be far more conservative than Obama.

I'll compare the current administration to a night of drinking. Obama is Tequila. It certainly sounds like a good idea early in the night...hmmmm....tequila! But after a few hours, you start feeling bad, this tequila certainly doesn't sound like a good anymore. You lay down, have bed spins, you think your world is going to end, you're going to die. But you press on because you know you have to to hold yourself together. Pretty soon you make that mad dash to the toilet because you know its coming. You "vote out" the tequila and pretty soon you're feeling better thinking "damn that was stupid, I'll never do that again". You'll still be hung over for a while (tequila plays a MEAN second half) but you'll get over it quickly and be more knowledgeable for the experience.

go watch that vid in the other thread titled "Worlds largest zit?"

I think of the liberalism running rampant in the US as the white pusssy gooo in that zit, Obama is squeezing it out, he thinks its an ointment and spreads it all over our backs. But it stinks bad and you wanna barf, but at least everyone can finally see the goo in there.

bad thing about that kinda cyst is, they always come back

I am sorry fellas if any of you really think that electing a different president or congress is going to fix anything I worry for you ! I think There will be some peaks but in general our society is in decline. This is as natural of a cycle as the sun and the moon I am sure that many people saw the writting on the wall as we do still there society failed. This country will under go a radical change in my lifetime ( the next 40 years ) I dont know what is going to happen for sure but It is inevetable at some point . The major question in my mind is will our downfall be at our own hands or will mother nature right the ship first? Either way the weight of history and statistics are pilling upon us.

I have thought a lot about all this over the years. Out there in a motor grader listening to the talk shows gives you a lot of time to mull it all over. H2 will know what I mean. The only problem is, now I am stone deaf.
I think that the country is in a decline but I think it is far from permanent. It depends on how far BO gets, tearing it down before we stop him. If we stop him too soon the pendulum may not swing far enough to the right to last very long. If we don't stop him soon enough he may damage it so much that our economy may be set back 40 or 50 years which might not be bad either. WE could be more agricultural and could start building our industry again. I think that has been our real problem. We let our industry and manufacturing go and are starting to let our agriculture decline also. I don't think we can all survive making computer chips. This is what BO doesn't understand. He wants all his folks to have every thing for nothing but when we have no businesses, we have no one to write the pay checks.

Hope for the best, prepare for the worst......

As a society in the US right now, we are probably more divided than at any time since the civil war. I am just waiting now for the "trigger" that may very well push us into another civil war. This one will start as a liberal vs Conservative battle, but escalate into many different factions (race, religeon,
region, etc).
I think this trigger will be gun control...I originally thought Obama
would be able to push this through early next year, but, the opposition he
has faced on health care and the lingering economic woes may have pushed this out far enough that he won't have the support in congress to get it done.
This does not mean he will not try! His power grabs so far have been impressive and scary......

Wolf, you should work in the computer chip industry. We are moving all that work out of the country. Period.

Now all the other countries want our Research and Development, and will give US companies huge piles of cash, to move R&D to their country.

There's nothing left, that is "American". We hold no advantage in any industry. Even the pharmaceutical industry is moving, we will be eclipsed in space, fussion, fission, automotive, entertainment, power, biology, heavy machinery, banking, agriculture, ect.... There' NOTHING.

The only thing we will excel at, is entitlement, and welfare. Even at that, we'll be second to Europe.

Our advantage used to be freedom.

The poll is too either/or.

A massive depression is possible but unlikely.

Thank God Obama got elected (and not Hillary or McCain). No, I haven't lost my cotton-pickin' mind. Obama is trying to yank this country so far left, so fast he's forced the middle class to wake the f*** up and pay attention.

That's good for conservatives as long as they pull their heads out and come up with a plan (by plan, I mean a sane, rational alternative to the radicals in the leftist Oministration). They also need a sound-byte to sell that plan with (sad, but them's the times).

If Hillary had won the Dem primary and the White House this slide toward National Socialism would have been slower, smoother and quieter. Obama never stops campaigning which is is greatest weakness---He keeps drawing attention to what he's not getting done (well, that, and he's surrounded himself with some seriously shameless America hating freaks)

Next year the Dems are going to lose a gob 'o seats in the House and their filibuster proof majority in the Senate.

Harry Reid and Chris Dodd are going down.
Colorado is wide open.
Barbara Boxer is on thin ice.
Arlen Spector pissed off just about all of Pennsylvania.
Gillibrand (Hillary's replacement in NY) is weak.

In 2012, Obama gets beat unless the GOP puts up another lame-o (If it's Romney/Gregg then it's bye bye Obama by a solid margin despite all the gerrymandering BS the dems will pull with the census)

Great post.

I truly hope this is the case. :beer;
