Yellow injectors, red injectors, explain

OK, so I got the new stator installed on my buds 900, and also put in the used ecu I bought from BD. The one I got from BD is labeled yellow injectors, flashed for SLP pipe/can. My buds stock ecu was for red injectors, and he had it flashed for the slp pipe/can. Here is my question, the colors are based on the flow of the injector correct? Does one color flow more/less than another? The sled runs great, but we have no snow, so I can't take it out and run it. Do I HAVE to take it in to get the new/used ecu reflashed for his red injectors, or can we leave it the way it is? I do not want to have it burndown because I just put new 06 pistons/rings in it last fall.

Thanks!

I wonder what the reason for this was. Could it have been elevation related depending on where the sled was sold? Mine has red.

Manufacturing inconsistencies. As the injectors were built, the tools used wear out resulting in different flow rates.

That doesn't inspire much confidence, but after seeing how well they balanced my clutch it wouldn't surprise me.
