Year of Summit Sled

I am dealing with someone who is unsure what year his sled is. I have only seen photos of it so I need some help because I have had Polaris sleds before, not Ski Doos. It is a Summit X with the 800cc and a 159 inch track. The color I guess was a snow check only. It is a dull red and gray in color and a windshield that has an X on it. . It is not one of the new body style that is the XP. It looks like the first body style of the Rev body. That is all I can tell you. Any help please respond. Thanks!!!

my buddies 07 was that colour too, is it a R engine or a ptec? 06 was hands down better out of the box.

if the motor has an r its a 07 if not, its a 06

'06 H.O. engine has 2 separate Cylinders, '07 R engine has a monoblock (1 piece cylinder) or just find the vin stamped on the tunnel where your right ankle would be while standing on the sled. 2BPSC...6V000... The 6V is an '06, 7V000 is an '07, 2BPSCT8A48V000754 would be for an '08, first year of the XP.

sounds like my 07,check the crank run out.does it say 800R On the hood?
