Looking for a sled for our son, he's 5'8 138 lbs. I found an 07 phaser with a 144 x 2 and 300 miles for 4 k. It's real clean and set up with heel klickers is this an alright deal or do I keep looking.

That is the 4stroke phazer right? If so, for the way you guys like to play I would think that I would stay away from that. Too heavy and under powered even for a little guy. I have not actually ridden one, but have ridden with them. For off trail in the mtns, they just did not cut it. Now on the other hand, if that is the last of the 2 strokes, that would make a great sled for a little guy. Just my 2 cents.

Kids only got $4500 to spend, not much to chose from unless I go back to an old chassis.

I must say that being 5'8 and 138lbs does not make you a little guy, no matter what your age. As for only having $4500 to spend, that shouldnt be to hard to find a better chassis then the phazer. I would just keep looking for now, until the right sled showed up. For $4500 you should be able to find a M6 or M7, Rev summit 6 or 800, or a 06'-07' 600 RMK with the first generation IQ chassis. Being a yammy guy i would even say go look for a m6 or 600 rmk. Its a descent deal and a great little sled but he will out grow it quickly. If you throw a turbo at it you double the money invested and cant even sell it for the price of the turbo so its a mute point.

I own a turbo phazer and it takes way more then a turbo to make these sleds good, spend the money on something else, You can find 800 revs for that price.

ive got a 2006 rev mxz 600 sdi in great shape with a 121 x 2 '' track and some other stuff id sell for 4200

Thanks for the replies, the phazers out. Does anyone know of a good sled with at least a 144 under it for sale, or I'd love to find an IQR that I can stretch if somebody knows of one.

Theres a nice looking 04 REV Summit 800 for sale out at the Wainwright lemon lot for $4500. Has a boss seat, reeds, etc. might be worth checking out.
