The Pants have an elastice band around the inside of the bottom of the pants to keep snow from getting in your boots. I tried taking pics but they didn't turn out the best. This is very similar to other snowmobiling pants where the elastic goes tight around the ankle part or almost down to your foot and then the pants go a bit further down onto your foot over your boot.
This is what they consider a gaiter style I guess.

This pant is a great value and loaded with features. Water-resistant shell is constructed of tough 420D Reissa nylon. Features of this full bib pant include fixed 8 oz. insulation, boot gaiters, dry seat insert, thermal seat insert, 2" extendable hem, removable suspenders, YKK leg and front zippers, full length leg zippers, adjustable waist, and reflective Yamaha Tuning Fork on the back of both legs. A very competent trail pant.
