Yamaha and Polaris HYVO gear the same??

I have heard you can interchange them? Is this true, because my dealer has no gears here and I was thinking of heading over to Yamaha! Thanks.

I run a Polaris Hyvo chain on my Yamaha gears, so it should work. I have over 3000 kms and not an issue yet. (knock on wood)

Gear works...but you have to machine a spacer so it matches the Yamy Gears dimensions. Place the two on a flat surface and this will be very clear to you.

Run Polaris bottom gears on my RX. Like BCBOOST states they require different spacers. Polaris are lighter, cheaper and more readily available especially used when not running reverse.
