we rode up to little bald today. only about a inch of new at the snow park but 3-4 on top. ice scratchers and very slick for the first 5-6 miles, pretty good snow after that. my 13 year old and his buddy flattened every meadow and hill they could find. not a bad day considering snow conditions
Rode over the top from pyramid snow park in greenwater on saturday to our cabin located at gold creek (hwy 410) between whistlin jacks and gold creek station and found that alot of snow has melted off of the lower elevation roads such as lower little naches road, crossover road from little naches to milk creek including "ice hill", milk creek, pine creek, crossover between pine creek and spring creek and lower gold creek (hwy 410). there was alot of bare road that we had to travel on. Very disappointing. Ice scratchers were no help on the icy patches and gravel. We need some serious snow. Nice snow but heavy on top of Government Meadows, and Bald Mtn.
I thought you were gonna scrap your plan this weekend? 12 of us went from CE to WJL to spend Sat nite....Brutal...Those that left scratchers down in the bare had their skid full of dirt/gravel.....
My younger brother coaxed me into going. Pretty nice snow up over Govt. Meadows and along the upper Little Naches (1900) but from there it was all downhill (snow coverage) It seems that below 3200' elevation the snow is sparce. Bent my ice scratchers trying to climb a small but steep hill on the crossover trail between Pine and Spring Creek roads and ended up with no traction (in the mud of course) and heading back down the trail backwards. Guess i will try some slidekick ice scratchers next.I thought you were gonna scrap your plan this weekend? 12 of us went from CE to WJL to spend Sat nite....Brutal...Those that left scratchers down in the bare had their skid full of dirt/gravel.....
