Are you guys cutting holes behind the vents or just cutting a clear opening around the inside perimeter of the vent frame?

I cut mine out to the size of the screens. On the forward facing screens, I did leave a "bridge" of plastic, about 1/4" wide to help support the screen on the upper widest section, in the event of hitting sticks, branches etc.

Now if we would just get some snow, I could test them out....
