xtra lite 136 skid ?'s

It what aspects?

The Xtra lite really isnt the best skid. both ride wise and deep snow performance wise. In all honesty the best option short of trying better shocks on it might be to swap it out.

Yeah I was thinking that but thought that there might be something that could be done to trick it out a bit. I'm leaning towards an Edge skid, hopefully find a 151 or a 144 and extend to 151. This is a dumb question but why does my skid have 4 wheels on each side and I see them with only 2 on the inside of the rear sometimes? Not necessarily xtra lite skids, but I do se other ones with totally different set ups. Thanks.

The two rear wheel set up (note wheels inside the rails) will allow for the sled to lay over easier in the snow at the risk of some trail stability while the 3 and 4 wheeled set ups (note wheels outside the rails) will provide better trail stability. Since the two wheel set up is realitively new, it was not thought about during time of the X-tra Lite skid. Also, the Xtra Lite skid was Polaris' first attempt at a dedicated, light weight non-coupled deep snow skid.

Try to find a K-MOD rear arm and SLPs front arm upper shock mount ,you will see a 90% improvement

Head on over to your local Polaro dealer and have them bring up the rear skid details for a 2011 136 550 Shift. There you will find part numbers for a 2 wheel rear axle assembly. I recommend the Shift over the RMK's as the Shifts have their axle adjusters on the outside of the rail, like your skid (the RMK's have inside the rail adjusters). I think it will work. Cheers.

Your probably going to have to upgrade those shocks in short order. They are not the best to begin with.
