XRS Problems.....need help PLEASE!!!!!!!

Hey guys ive got some problems with my XRS and its really pissing me off and nobody can seem to find out what the hell is wrong with it.First off its really missing when i pin the throttle..only seems to do it when im off the trail in the pow....as soon as i get back on the groomed it seems to correct itself within minutes(ive done the plugs...put prefilters in the hood...i thought maybe too much snow was getting in).....also my tach shuts off outta the blue and will just come back randomly?? Also if i put on my high beams my tach will go off, dash lights(temp, oil etc all come on)and if i give it a burst of fuel the tach comes back and the lites go off???? What the hell is causing this??Could it be the spark plug wires?
thanks for the help

i had a similar problem last year with my 06! do you have electric start?? if so..its possible your sled is running off the battery..and not off the magneto! my sled had idiot lights going haywire..dimming lights..and engine would run,,then cut out! eventually the battery died and the sled would no longer run! the problem was the stator was shot!

One of the guys we ride with just had similar things happen. Replaced the stator and it's fine again.

Did yours have the ecm di-electric grease job, If not it could be wet. Mine was running crappy last week (powder and cold) I turned on the carb heaters and sled ran great. just a thought.

Ditto... Open the hood. Check the large plugin for moisture. Blow it out. Then di-electric grease it...
