Anyone Have Any Experience With Aftermarket Y-pipes On The Xp 800r. I Am Interested In Trying 1, But Have Not Heard What Works. Any Info Would Be Great. Thank You.

I just put a Dynoport Y pipe and high altitude pipe on my sled. It has had an MBRP can on it since new. If it was the pipe or Y pipe I'm not sure, but the 7 HP they claim with the both of them is all of that if not more.

save your money. Pull off your y-pipe and clean up the inside. Once you have it off you will see what I mean. There is a weld that can be cleaned up and beside each corner (beside outside bolt hole) press that out.
Pressing it out and cleaning up inside will allow more effecient flow, I'll bet that is where the hp claims are coming from

I called Dynoport and talked to them....They said the pipe and y pipe were direct bolt on and you didnt have to change clutching or jetting at all???? I asked him if you dont have to change the setup it sounds like the pipe isnt making any power....more hp=more clutch wieght+more fuel??????

I have the Dynoport pipe/Y pipe and my riding buddy has the same engine clutching as me. He has not received his pipe yet. Sled to sled he says mine has all of that 7 claimed horse power if not more (when we swithed sleds on the same runs). I left the jets the same. I am running 490's due to the bore of my engine and the plugs are a hair lighter in colour but still safe. On the clutch I went from clicker 4 to 3. But believe me the power is there. If you are capable of taking the bends out of the stock Y like Yukondood says I am sure you will get the same results.
