got a 09 50th with the new clutch adjuster but no allen wrench or 10mm open end did I get shorted?

No Allen Wrench

no wrench to tighten track either. what is the allen wrench for?

To adjust the belt.

There are 2 allen screws with a 10 mm nut on the back of them. You need to use the 10 mm open wrench to hold the nut while you back off the allen screw to adjust your belt.

This system sucks IMO, I like the set up I have on my 06 Summit way better than what came on my 09.

Oh, and by the way, I didn't get an allen wrench either in my tool kit.

No allen wrench is provided, there idea is that most people don't have any idea what belt deflection is and that they will take there sled to the dealer and have them adjust the deflection during servicing. Dumb idea? I guess it depends on which side of the business your on. Should you know how to set the belt deflection? Hell yes. Get yourself a allen wrench and put it in your tool kit if you know what to do. If you don't, take it to your dealer for its service's and they will do it for you, You might spend more money in belts than someone else but hey to each his own.

I think my dealer put a allen wrench in my tool kit when he put on the new adjuster. I opened it up last night, to adjust my belt, and it was just tucked behind the spark plug wrench.

Played around with it last night, and it's alot nicer than the 08 adjuster. All you have to do is stick the tool to take off your belt in, and turn it till you get the right deflection, then tighten the allen screws till they hit the helix to hold it in place. After you get the hang of it, it's a 2 minute job.

XP's don't need tools, they are the only sled on the market that is 100% free of any breaks or maintenance. I hear that next year they are gonna have a 100k mile warranty...:face-icon-small-win

so you guys have a double open ended wrench in your kit but no allen wrench? I didn't get either, must have been the econo package LOL Thanks seems like the 08 style in metal would be better?

do i have somthing different or am i adjusting belt wrong. i just use that spanner wrench and turn plastic nut in or out for belt deflection it seems to work fine.

You have the 2008 style. The 2009s have a metal piece instead of the plastic part.
