I just wanted to know if someone could tell me why Doo went to the straight tunnel insted of keeping the, tipped up in the back style like the rev chasis has.Is it any better?
I would think that the tipped version would evacuate snow better.
Straight would be cheaper for them to make, one less process, but is it any better?

Thanks

Stronger

I would think that the straight tunnel is stronger, lighter, cheaper to build. Less rivets holding everything together. So many advantages. I haven't measured the thickness of the xp tunnel but I am guessing it is much thinner than the rev tunnel. It doesn't make sense to have to have a plate to hold the two sides together on the rev summit's It is kinda a dumb design. And not to mention I think the xp looks sweet with the straight tunnel. Very clean look with out a bunch of extensions and stuff.

What it appears they did (to me) is they basically left the very rear of the tunnel in a higher location and raised the rest of the tunnel to match the rear....effectively making more clearance in the center of the tunnel. If that makes sense. Plus cheaper and easier to mfr.

1-pc = stronger, lighter and more cost effective.

you said - it cheaper and probably slightly lighter - though i doubt stronger. I think the kick up tunnels look and perform better though - as less a$$ is draggin' through the snow.

Only reason I say stronger is single formed piece is going to be stronger the 2-pcs riveted together (no splice to open up)
