XP spooked

Havent even pulled the rope on this sled yet, woke up to it as a christmas gift. But iam a little spooked with all the neg hype. my initial impression is they should of put about 8 more pounds into the building of this sled. Belt adjuster wont last a week and that was first thing i touched. the plastic adjuster is way to light.

you could pass it down to me if your to spooked to ride it:face-icon-small-win its a great sled when they get the belt issue fixed it :eek:will be better than great...weve got 900 miles total on 4 new x's and Nobody has been disappointed,,,:D

The forums will twist your brain into the same fear level of a global warming alarmist if you are not careful. Remember all the hubub of problem 07's last year? My dealer buddy sold 56 X's and Adrenalines last year and not one had the motor issue and they took care of clutches at the 10 hour tune until the "fix" came out. I have no issues except right handwarmer and I am sure the left one soon...but Doo will take care of it. I bring extra gloves. My XP is soooo fun! Get out there! Goose

climate change is happening man. last year was a freak year this yea rwe got no snow. look around the problems no tth e**** we drive just that the earth is soo damn populated

Give him a little bit of a break...... He's 15 and knows everything about everything, including climate change MAN! LOL!

hey cb24, maybe ask your climate change guru's who it was that was burning all the fossil fuels that caused the last 2 ice ages.

it might be heavier but it helps us tow your sore @$$ of the mountain.

Now that's just friggin brilliant.

BTW, did you know that those little symbols that you have before and after your user name are from mathemetical equations meaning less than or greater than?

>Yamaha< would mean that everything before and after Yamaha is greater,

Back to the original post:
If everybody actually paid any attention to all the jealous Bashing that goes on on this 4M no-one would ever buy a new sled.
You now own the lightest, most HP to weight sled ever. You're a lucky man.
Doo will sort out their issues and fix it.
Just take the more constructive comments and recomendations from the few that give them for the temporary fixes until then.
Santa was very good to you!

I'll take it! I am sure that I can get the bugs in the clutching worked out, I know a dealer that has already got the correct set-up!

Just break the belt in right and ride it. All sleds have issues, nothing is perfect!

You are lucky, I wish my wife (I am assuming that is who gave it to you) would get me a new sled!

Now that i get looking at it i think dealer prep is as much to blame as the factory for the belt issues on some xp's. I found shives covered in oil, as stated a thousand times in other posts, as well as belt deflection so loose you could rotate it around the clutches with ease by hand. If i would of just hoped on this thing and rode that belt would'nt of stood a chance.

if you haven`t read all the post about the new XP on the internet would you still be questioning your sled? And If the Yamaha guys can dump 6-7 grand into a turbo for their sled to make it run with the two strokes why can`t we put in a few hundred for clutching and not get pissed on. I have an XP 154"and have about 300 miles and the only thing that quit was the heated grips. if you sled was made after Oct 15 you may not have any problems with them.

no kiddin! i agree! i'd rather spend few hundred $$ for a good clutch kit and solve these clutch issues..than scratching my head for most of the season! Stock doo clutching is never that great anyway! Plus..this may turn your jet..into a rocket!!

Rockets are designed to go short term like hell,, then fizzle and die and fall back to earth !!! I hope you're wrong.

Don't worry powderwhore!

I have 150 hard miles on my $hit belt (white writing) that Doo sends out with the sleds. I almost sure the orange one will be better, it sure looks better!

I'm waiting for it to blow but still waiting.............nothing.

I absolutly love the sled though! Runs great, goes great, and is just plain fun to ride all day! Doesn't beat you up like my old sled.

Keep 'er powderwhore!!!

Chaz

I wish santa would've given me a xp 163. i had to pay 1 07 800 x and 3 G(after rebates).as far as issues go we all have issues i mean all sleds have issues. fix em if you have em and move on.
