Xp Rear Suspension

I have ordered a 09 xp 163 but i have been looking at the rear suspension of the 08 summits. The front arm of the rear suspension looks to be mounted too high and the front of the track doesn't touch the ground. Has anybody moved the suspension around and what were the results.

I dunno, but the suspension on this sled is a saggy turd. Atleast mine is. I haven't even hit anything big on my new sled and it already has a tough time rebounding. Thats my biggest complaint about the new xp i picked up. I'd like to hear what they have as well, as far as aftermarket suspension??

I had the same problem, so I turned the rear shock more vertical, and charged it to 300lbs. Works a lot better than it did, but makes it a little harder to keep the skis down. Ended up with my limiter strap back in the stock position.

They replaced a rear shock on one of ours for that same thing under warranty. had almost no rebound

First thing that I noticed on the showroom floor last fall as well. I rode it with the stock skid, it worked ok for most of my riding but wanted to Whellie in the Steep & Deep:eek:. It also didn't want to follow any existing tracks up a hill... The answer, & it is what I have done to all previous sleds is put a lightweight M-10 from Racers Edge. 100 % happy with all aspects of this sled now 1200 kms not a single problem:beer;:)...Since then Racers Edge has come out with a bolt on coupling device for this skid & I have to admit it works awesome (and about half the price). I think it is a stock item now & I know that he is currently testing the same for the Nytro with great results.:)

My Pro-X has the same problem(as do all of them stock). The front arm is mounted too high in the tunnel so alot of guys move it down 3/4"-7/8". The sled sags alot until the rear shock compresses enough that the front of the skid is touching the ground, then gets stiffer. It makes the sled wheelie a bit more though.
