For deep powder climes is it best to have the strap in or out??? I run a XP 154.I've been running mine out and it seems to float better but it also wheelies more and causes a loss in momentum. When I ran it with the strap in the middle it seemed to want to trench more. I haven't pulled the strap all the way in yet because it seems a little nose heavy already.

This is really preference but you want enough transfer to keep the skis just above the snow when climbing. Not enough transfer and you spin too much and tend to drive the skis into the snow, too much transfer and you drive the back of the track into the snow.

On my 163, I sucked the limiter strap up one hole and it works much better ... for me. I also upgraded the back springs to the next higher rate.

I have mine out all the way, with a second strap added for durability and the lower end of the shock moved 1 inch forward in the rails to stop the shock from over extending with the straps in this position. Before I moved the shock the straps would not get taught. This would have destroyed the shock left this way. I like the way it handles and pulls over. My buddy does not like this set up and runs his in the middle position. I had the highmark this past weekend so you decide. Skis run about 4-6inches off the snow on steep climbs, sidehilling is excellent.
