xp fuel gauge

anyone having any luck with the electronic fuel gauge on the xp?

Mine either reads full tank of gas or 3 bars, very rarely in the middle.

I ran into this problem a couple of times this weekend. I would start climbing and notice the low gas light on. I would also notice I was only making 7800 rpms on the climb. I came down put a gallon of gas in the sled and took off up the same hill. The sled tacked where it should and i read a full tank of gas.
How do you go from gas light on to full tank with a gallon of gas?

Does anyone know where the fuel pickup in the tank is? I am begging to think that with under 3 gallons of gas in the gas tank the sled cant get enough gas to the motor on steep climbs, anyone else run into this?

I have wondered the same thing about the sled not getting fuel during a steep climb. Mine shows empty and the light will come on during climbs towards the middle of the day. When I get back on the flat it is always at least 1/2 to 3/4 of a tank.

It's kind of funny that low fuel light ever comes on because I have never used more than 7 gallons in a day which leaves at least 3.6 gallons in the tank.

That's strange Tim but you could fawk up an anvil in a sandbox.:D My light comes on early but I haven't experienced any weird running with low fuel. Fyi when fueling up if you compress the rear skid the tank will burp and you can get in another 1.5-2litres.(1/2 galloon)
