XP Clutch Bushings !

Better check those clutch bushings in the primary. After 1000 miles they were completely finished. These clutches are making way too much heat and the bushings are being destroyed. I could not believe how much play there is in them ! Major binding !

not familar with clutch language but have torn them apart before. do you mean the six buttons the sliding half moves on or. or pins and bushing the weight moves on. i have had problems with the bushing in the center of the sliding half that slides on the main shaft before on my 04

I think he means the center bushing on the sliding half. I checked mine and it is still ok. I only have 500 miles on. I don't know why they have changed the primary from years past? My primary on my 2000 700 HM is still tight after 4000 miles. Oh well I guess they know something I don't.

More or less everything is nixed ! Arms seem to have no play which is a plus. Rollers are worn out. Both center bushings are nixed as well. There are two bushings, one on the sliding sheave center and one on the spring retainer center. Major bindage !

Johnny, i don't ride that junk sorry ! Its my wifes sled ! I just wrench on it ! I'm sure she will be riding a turbo before long. Then this bad nightmare will be over !

Check your bushings !
