Look at the left side of your track and under the shaft mounted brake assy. every once and awhile…..i had no clue until I looked
Long story short, a riding buddie noticed his was bashed in and told me to look at mine, well, mine was worse and cutting the hell out of the track
This is the damage, I’m guess a full plasic protector was here, but broke off from the impact of a rock or something to the effect…..none the less, a ftermarket shop (smitty) needs to fabracate a ¼” thick alum plate to mount here…ill buy the first one
I used a saw to cut away 1/8” or so of materail to gain my clearance back, notice track cord is everywhere. And a simple course file was handy to smooth the edge
Then I spun the track around and used a box cutter to remove the damaged 1/8”ish piece od track…..and a heat gun to burn the cord ends…..its ugly, but functional…..and functional is all I want….keep riding!
