xp belt

I ran ultimax belts a couple of years ago they slipped the clutch got to hot and expoded. I don't think you save any money,Stick with the rip off Skidoo belt.

Whats the 288 belts Brew? I'm trying a 383 belt now. You sound meaner on snow and mud. lol

The ultimax might cost a little less, but if you do any kind of hard riding you will go through twice as many.

I still can't believe ski doo comes out with a belt to "help" fix THEIR cutch problem then charge us twice as much for them. good one brp If I worked there I would machine the cases out of tollerance so the bearings would fail and people would have to buy new motors.... ahhh I mean....$hit!

Didnt notice any difference in length or width just compound to take more heat. I didnt run a belt adjuster with the 166 or 377 and had the same deflection with both. It was tight but didnt creep. Had the odd howl when it was smoking hot.

-288 is the harder version of the -166. Works great on Rev chassis and some guys prefer them over the -377 and seem to be just as durable. A little less $$ too.

lots of info guys. Thanks came over from poo we have been running ultimax xs with no problems.
I rode the 08 xp for 2hours sold pooo bought 09 800 3 days later.
I want to go with ultimax after i watched that same xp shred a new skidoo belt at 160 miles.
