Whats the difference between the X models and the Everests?? Other than Shocks and Gauge Package.

Thats about it!!.....Except if you get the X, you might get boned with the Challenger lite track.....

Some will say 10lbs dif .....but thats only if the X has the Chall lite track

Some will say the X has Chromo A-Arms.......I dont believe that....Look up the price for a Everest A-arm VS a X a-arm....They are the same price....Diferent color and diferent part # but the same price.

To me, it wasnt worth the extra cost for the X.....Allthough I am a shock dealer and wasnt at all concerned about the better shocks on the X.

Thats it??

What about the drivers - Extroverts on both?? - Man for the diff I would prefer Fox floats.

Price was worth the gauge. To be able to read rpm, and elevation in digital form, SWEEEET!!!

....as far as shocks go, who cares when you aren't riding the trails???

Light weight decals, different A-arms, hand guards. Get the Everest and with the $$ you save you can upgrade the shocks to Fox Floats and you'll have extra cash to do some other mods. IMO you get a better track on the Everest.

I was riding with a "X" model last week and I went everywhere he did. They ran the exact same. My dealer is using the same setup for all of his Summit XPs.

It's not really worth the extra coin. just my 2 cents

I got the Everest and used the extra money saved to get the quick disconnects for the sway bar (which is great) and installed a vent kit for the clutches (no problems to date, think my dealer got it perfect). Four friends got the XP and none of them came with handguards? They did get the upgraded shocks, the better gauges (but when your busting the powder who the heck can even see the gauges for all the snow), they thought it was supposed to come with the quick disconnects (that's what they were told) but it didn't. They all ordered it with the powder max track so the weight savings is only about 5 pounds. As for the other claimed differences I haven't really looked cause it really doesn't matter to me. BUT we all agree that these are sweet sleds!

I think that the quick disconnects was the biggest waste of Money i have ever spent. I ended up just leaving them off all the time. Soo if you havent bought them... Dont Just my .02

X to be or not to be??

I agree fully - i would rather set the everest up the way i want it. The gauge - agreed again who looks at the gauge in 4 foot of powder. Thanks for all the opinions and thoughts.
Hmm what to doo??

Don't waste $$ on the quick disconnects. Just take the fuggin sway bar out. You don't need it. My sled handles better in the deep without it and it handles alright on the trail and I try to avoid trails anyways.

The quick disconnects are a personal thing, I think they handle like crap on the trails without them, too much roll in the corners.
Other option With X was track, track length and color, I couldn't get an Everest with a 163 powder max on it.... or yellow/Gray/Black color scheme.
T/A is right, they got 9 pounds in there somewhere also... I think it's shocks, springs and arms. And use it or not, the X-Package guages are COOL!

I have to agree with that. The only thing you forgot, is that you can control the guages with your thumb on the X model. I don't think you can do it on the basic model. I think there's a few more options on the hand warmers also. Not that they ever work anyways.
