XGAMES best trick, speed/style gone?

PTI guys on ESPN talking about Caleb Moore and Xgames. They are discussing the fact of how snowmobile best trick and speed/style should be taken out of Xgames all together because a 500lb machine was ment to stay on the ground and not be in the air. Is it to soon to even be discussing this out of respect for the Moore family? Yes, and I do not know where the sport of freestyle snowmobiling will go after this, but what I can say is getting rid of this sport on a nationally televised and recognized scale will not stop the riders from doing it and progressing themselves. I feel it would just be a mistake to the riders and the fans to take away a sport that has so recently gained nationally scaled fame and is just now advancing in tremendous ways.

that's just it...bikes were going big on the ramps about 5-10 years before sleds hit it hard (my years may be a little off) however now the "elite" bike guys throw HUGE tricks at summer X with the occasional wreck, but yes when they do wreck its huge. My point is now that something so tragic has happened right at the beginning of the crazy era of snowmobile freestyle its in jeopardy of being shut down all together. I don't think it would be fair to the sport because they need to give these guys time to master the craft and actually acclimate themselves to the ideas/abilities these guys have on sleds off the ramps and the tricks they throw.

I like how a few guys that likely have never even been on a sled are telling us what that sled is meant to do. I suppose they will tell us that the sleds should never leave the ground and we should stick to the trails. It disgusts me that so many people out there spend so much effort to tell me what is good for me.

My thoughts EXACTLY! The only reason these guys even know what a sled is is because they watch X games and guys like Caleb Moore doing their thing. And now they are experts? And why would they ban Best Trick and Speed n Style? Caleb didn't get to compete in either of those events this year. Either way, my heart goes out to everybody in Caleb's family. Just makes me sick to hear people calling for a ban on any discipline of our sport

After watch pardon the interuption yesterday I was steaming mad. How little research the sports "experts" did. Tony Kornheiser said something like arent sleds supposed to just go down hill and never leave the ground. Wow do some research. If you dont know anything dont comment on it or form the opinion that the sport should be banned from Winter X. People must watch it if ESPN puts it on. And part of the reason many people watch is the possibility of a crash. Just like why some people watch NASCAR, just hoping to see a pileup.

Typical liberals. This is just what they wanted so they could get motorized out of the x games. I am not saying they wished he died but they are going to run with it. A skier got killed the other year but you won't here anything about them stopping that. People have died in the olympics. Same deal as the guns. Thank god for these liberals to save us from ourselves.
