can you put a xfire exchanger on a m? the exchanger is only 97 bucks and if that would make the m cool just like the a xfire with a 2.25 track then i might be up for going with a m instad of an xfire...just wieghing my options.

The M cools just fine , i have scratchers and run them down on any trail. The M is made for DEEP snow only. If you ride on trails the X Fire might be a better fit . I cant stand trail riding there for i have a 162 M .

crossfire/M8

Yes, cooler mounts between the two tunnel strip coolers. Some new holes and hose(90degree angle for xfire cooler)and your done. Both my M8's took under one hour.

Our 08 has one as well, works great.

My only suggestion would be to get slightly longer hoses than come stock, they would allow you to get the cooler all the way back in the tunnel where the M cooler is.

I have a crossfire 1000cc rear heat exchanger. The stock one worked ok in the right conditions, but when it was hardpacked and warm (spring mainly), my temps would get warmer than I liked, the crossfire is a lot bigger and solved the problem. Just to help also, I put some of that water wetter in also, but that supposedly is only good for about 8 or 9 degrees.

It is off of a '07 crossfire 1000cc, the part # is 3706-390. On my sled, all we had to do is cut the coolant hoses off a little because the metal tubes on the exchanger were longer than the stock ones and rivet it on. It definitely solved the problem, as far as whether it would fit a '07 M8, it should fit fine because it is the same year, and I would bet the tunnels are identical (length for length).
Is his sled stock? or what has he done to it, because if it's stock, it obviously shouldn't be overheating. I hope that helps.

Thanks Jared, I hope you don't mind my sharing your advise.
