X Flow intake manifold

Anybody else see this intake manifold in Jan/Feb 08 Snow Tech pg 56? Combines carbs in cross manifold...said to add 28.9 horse to Poo 800. One for Ski-Doo too. www.aftermarketproducts.com carries it but no info there...have to call. The inventor is a jake Nester of Coral Harbour, Nunavut (earth I guess). Anybody? Goose

Talked with AMP today...with Bob...who says Eric the owner is the one really knowledgeable here. The article had a lot of error...the manufacturer and retailer (they make aerospace stuff) is in Issaquah not BC. (How do things get so screwed up?) I just faxed him the article. Bob says 10 horse for sure in mid and high range. He does believe that earlier testing produced the 28.9 at WOT by the inventer (whose name is Netser not Nester as the article says). Boys...10 horse for $259 US is a good thing...plus equalizing carbs and gaining mileage. I want to follow this. Goose

Is this the same as the boost bottle for the Poo's? It sounds like the same thing to me. Keep us posted as to the progress, I would like 28??? bolt on HP.

Yeah...even 10hp for $249 is awesome. Not a boost bottle...the boost bottle stores some fuel for low or mid bogging issues but this is a manifold that mixes fuel from both carbs instantly and directly. Lots of difference. Your carbs need not be identical in supply. Goose

Not a friggen chance boys.

Tell you what. If anyone is gullible enough to buy one, ship it to me and I'll pay for the dyno time. Might be testing some twins here in the next bit anyhow.

$500 says it doesnt make 28hp

Yea... that is a pretty tall HP claim...
BUT I just looked into getting replacement rubber boots for my carbs and they were 85$ EACH!!!!
These may be worth the extra $$$ to not have to worry about a cracked rubber boot again.

It doesn't look that hard to have a machine shop build something like it! No way 28 hp but I could see some gain, probably more consistant A/F flow. Same reason tunnel rams on drag cars have a "bread box" on top of the runners that the dual carbs feed into, help's evenly distribute A/F to the runners.

Same guy who invented Wolfpack reeds I'd guess. 28hp from a mod boost bottle, where do these people come from?
