X-fire 136 to 144

So I have a 06 X-Fire currently fit with a 136" X 2" shoe. I can easily bump it out to 144". I have been debating all summer long whether to do it. Those of you that have done this mod, did you notice a significant performance increase?

one of my buddies did this to his X-fire. it worked really well but i would suggest going to the 141 powerclaw

A 141" Power Claw has a 3.0 pitch while a 144" Camo has a 2.52. Extensive modifications would be required to make a PC work.

Get a driveshaft and drivers from bdx and your set. I would go powerclaw if I was in your shoes.

If you do go to a 3.0 pitch track YOU WILL NEED ANTI STAB WHEEL KIT!!!!! We put my camo challender 141 on a X fire, first ride out he poked a rail through and broke one of the fiberglass rods. Also had to get a freedom axle with 8 inch wheels to take up the slack. The X fire rails have a different approach angle and I believe are a little shorter. M-fire8 should be chiming in here soon.
