WTH? Is this Paypal fraud?

I got an E-mail from Paypal saying that a third person is trying to access my Paypal account and that they've suspended all my payments until I verify my password.

But, the link that the verifying adress is linked to, is going to take me somewhere called thestdclinic.co.uk WTF? I tried clicking the link without looking where it sent me, but luckily my Office computer at work won't let me access this place. It's restricted due to my companys ethical guidelines. The last time I got into a page that was blocked due to ethical, was when I tried getting into some 'bikini' website. LOL

But, sreiously. Anybody else got this e-mail from Paypal? Or is it some kind of fraud that takes all my money from paypal and drains my credit cards when I clink it??

Its a phishing scam. Redirect to another site that has a page that looks like pay-pal and has you type in your real login information. Then they have your login information and clean you out. Delete the email.

here about 2 weeks ago someone got in to my moms paypal
and bought a computer 2400$ well paypal did right thing red flaged
her account and call her and asked about it and she said no
and fixed everything and shes good to go agian
paypal said to change your password once a month and
the security word and i never answer emails from paypal
if theres a issue with your account go and log in not from your email
and thay will tell you there about it

I get several of these phishing scam emails from banks and paypal. Just delete it man. No reputable company would ever ask you to get on a link to verify your password or any personal information.

I got the same email. My email started, "Dear paypal member,...."

I called paypal and the first thing they asked was how did the email start. I told her and she stopped me and said its a scam and to delete imediately.

If paypal sends you an email, they start w/ "Dear Mr/Mrs (your name here)...".

I get at least 5 or 6 of those e-mails a week. I forward them all to spoof@paypal.com
Paypal will never contact you by e-mail for anything. If you forward the e-mails, at least they have a chance at tracking down these clowns and get them shut down.

if it doesn't say paypal in the address bar it isn't paypal.

Better rule to follow is that no, repeat NO, websites will every ask you to verify information with an email. They will NEVER do it, so anytime you are ever asked to verify something it is DEFINITELY bogus. This goes for any and every account you will EVER have on the internet!
