WTH is that buzzinggggggg

Last ride it started on my 2010 m8 its around 6500rpms to 7000 and around 4000 but not as loud, i tightened exhaust springs on insulation wrap, nope so while idleing and hood up i put my hand on everything i could think of can springs can insulation pipe heat shield injector heat shield, it sounds like from near the carb area, a reed maybe??? Sled runs fine but, this morrning my freaking ear is still ringing and i had ear plugs in yesterday:mad2: Anyone figure out what it is yet as i saw a few others had this issue too.

Not that either, it does sound real high pitch vibrating aluminum or the fiber in the reeds blowing apart though, very high pitch and rpm related??? Stopped at idle and around 4300 too so it has to be not drivetrain related, really sounds like carb area??? It just started at 150 miles

I'm getting the same noise and I *think* mine may be related to an exhaust leak at the y-pipe/single pipe junction.

mine had a similar buzzing noise and it was the heat shield below the y pipe and the exhaust springs but it souns like you checked that. you could always shoot some gasket maker/silicon on the exhasut springs to be sure its not them making some crazy harmonics and help them from breaking!
